Oxford Button Down Light Blue

Our take on one of the most important shirts in American fashion, the blue OCBD (Oxford Cloth Button Down). Originally inspired by polo shirts of the late 1800's, this timeless style is made from a sturdy, 100% cotton oxford cloth.

We begin by cutting our yardage and sending the fabric through a full wash and dry cycle to minimize future shrinkage. We then press the fabric and layout the cut. Once cut, we use a light fusible for structure in the cuffs, placket and collar-stand and opt for a 100% cotton sew-in lining for the collar, giving the collar the perfect softness and "roll". One rounded, left-chest pocket and simple, off-white translucent buttons finish off the look.

Hailed by everyone from beat poets to ivy leaguers, the OCBD offers great versatility in its ability to dress up or down for any occasion. Wear it buttoned to the top with a tie for a serious meeting or leave it open for a casual night out.
